Hunter Freeman




As a teenager, Freeman trained in residency at the USSF's Bradenton Academy with the United States Under-17 national team. Upon graduating, he matriculated to the University Of Virginia , where he played College Soccer from 2002 and 2004. Although a solid player from his freshman season, Freeman emerged as a junior, leading the NCAA with 21 assists, and being named first-team All-ACC.

Following the 2004 season, Freeman signed a Generation Adidas contract with MLS, and was subsequently selected seventh overall in the 2005 MLS SuperDraft by the Rapids.

Freeman has played for various youth United States National Teams , and was part of the Under-20 team at the 2005 World Youth Championship .
