The concept of a war lasting for about a century is possibly based on the historical Hundred Years' War . The latter was a conflict between the Kingdoms of England and France that lasted from 1337 till 1453 , so actually lasting for 116 years. Thus, it cannot be assumed that this fictional conflict lasted exactly a hundred years either. |
