Five years later, Humphrey returned and became stuck on a mudflat in San Francisco Bay near Candlestick Park . He was pulled off the mudflat with the help of a large cargo net and a Coast Guard boat and once again guided out to sea. Humphrey has been seen only once since, at the Farallon Islands off of San Francisco in 1991. FURTHER READING |
