1991 .
''Human'' marked the beginning of what would become major stylistical changes for Death. The actual sound of the album is much more technically accomplished and progressive than Death's previous strictly brutal efforts. The lyrics are now more introspective and meaningful as opposed to the
Gore based lyrics of the bands first few albums. This new style would be more and more prevalent on all following Death albums.
This album also broke the band into the mainstream rock scene with the single "Lack of Comprehension", which had a
Music Video that received some airplay on
MTV .
