Hulao Pass




After the battle at Si Shui Gate in 189, the Warlord Dong Zhuo made his capital at Luoyang . The warlord Cao Cao saw this as a significant threat, and, together with other warlords, formed a new Coalition with Yuan Shao at their head. Yuan Shao challenged Dong Zhuo at Hulao Pass, 50 '' Li '' from Luoyang. Dong Zhuo had Lü Bu fighting with him, perhaps the fiercest warrior in all of China. Plus, Han Xian from Si Shui Gate had reappeared and nearly killed Yuan Shao. After a small battle, Han Xian was left dead. After a long battle, Dong Zhuo decided to abandon the field. But before he did, he burned Luoyang and headed for Chang'an . Yuan Shao was seen to be victorious. After the battle, Luoyang was rebuilt, and the generals made plans to reunite all of China for a new dynasty...

Lord Dong Zhuo had been enjoying five years of order when his highest general reported movements by Yuan Shao in the north of Luoyang. This enraged Dong Zhuo and he ordered his greatest warrior and loyal foster son, Lu Bu, to engage the enemy and 'crush them like insects'. Though Lu Bu resented the next order, it was decided that Zhang Liao of Wei should accompany him to Hulao Pass to destroy the enemy, while Dong Zhuo and his company watched from a raised balcony. As the battle began, Lu Bu screamed to the enemy "Fodder! Come and die!". He then slaughtered hundreds of Allied units, heckling their inability to fight back.


THE TIGER OF JIANG DONG


After a short while, Sun Jian, head of the Sun family and reknown Tiger of Jiang Dong, burst from a stroghold and charged at Lu Bu, calling out "These mindless beasts, shall fall prey to the tiger!" Lu Bu declared a duel, which Sun Jian was quick to accept. The two fought and eventually, Lu Bu forced his enemy back. Realising even he could not stop this monster, Sun Jian and his portion of the allied army retreated. As he rode away, Lu Bu called after him "You dogs are all bark and no bite!"


CAO CAO AND XIAHOU DUN


As the battle lingered on, more and more soldiers erupted from the strongholds, only to be struck down by Lu Bu's blade. Seething with rage, Lord Cao Cao ordered that his forces and bodyguard Xiahou Dun, should charge head on. Cao Cao ambushed from the left while Xiahou Dun ambushed from the right.
