Hugh Richard Bromley-Davenport OBE (born 18 August 1870 at Capesthorne Hall , Chelford , Cheshire , England ; died 23 May 1954 in South Kensington , London , England) was a Cricket er who played First-class Cricket for Cambridge University between 1892 and 1893 and Middlesex between 1896 and 1898 . Bromley-Davenport also played four Test Matches for England , all of which were against South Africa .

Bromley-Davenport served with the Royal Engineers in the First World War , and was awarded the OBE for his services.
