Information About

House Of Cards

Building a house of cards is a Pastime involving stacking Playing Cards on top of each other, which is risky, since they might fall over with the slightest movement.

An interesting phenomenon, though, is that when the house gets larger (five or six tiers), one can remove the center-most two cards on the bottom row without jeopardizing the entire structure (this, of course, has to be done carefully). It takes patience, but is something better seen than described.

A prominent builder of "houses of cards" is Bryan Berg . He broke the World Record in 1992 for "The Tallest House of Cards" with a tower fourteen feet, six inches tall. His tallest structure so far is 25 feet tall. In 2004 , Guinness made "Tallest House of Cards" a new category in recognition of his construction of a replica of Cinderella 's Castle for Walt Disney World . {Link without Title}

House of cards is also an expression for a structure or argument built on a shaky foundation.
