Information About

Holden Premier

The Holden Premier was a large family sedan manufactured by General MotorsHolden 's Ltd. of Australia . It was an upmarket version of, initially, the Holden Standard and Special from 1963 to 1967 , and from 1968 , the Holden Belmont and Kingswood . It was cancelled in the late 1970s as Holden rationalized its full-size car range with the advent of its smaller Commodore model.

An export version of the Premier was the Mazda Roadpacer . Holden shipped bodyshells without engines to Japan, and Mazda fitted its rotary unit into the engine bay. However, this model came after the 1973 fuel crisis and was not a success.

Generally, Australian Premiers were fitted with 307 in³, and later 5·0 L, V8 engines.
