Hisham Palace




Hisham Palace is an archaeological site located 5 Km (3.1 Miles ) north of Jericho , West Bank . The palace was built in AD 743 by Al-Walid Ibn Yazid and owed its name to his uncle, the Umayyad Caliph Hisham Ibn Abd Al-Malik , who ruled an empire stretching from India to the Pyrenees .
