''Heaven and Hell'', released in 1975, is the second solo album by Greek artist Vangelis . It has classical overtones, but branches into ethnic themes occasionally. PERSONNEL Vangelis plays Synthesizer s, Grand Piano (Bösendorfer), Percussion and several other instruments. The choirs are by the English Chamber Choir , conducted by Guy Protheroe . Lead vocals on "12 O'Clock" are by Vana Veroutis . Jon Anderson contributes lead vocals to "So Long Ago, So Clear". This was to be the first product of a collaboration (spanning 20 years) between the two artists, sometimes as Jon & Vangelis . STYLE The music was a more Classical style by Vangelis, contrasting with the Progressive Rock on Earth and Albedo 0.39 , which was released less than a year later.
