She originally shot to fame as an actress, playing the role of Kate in the critically acclaimed film '' Breaking Glass '' in 1980 , and its accompanying soundtrack. She has since had a further eight Television appearances, either as an actress, or appearing as herself, and has released twelve albums in a career spanning over twenty five years.

Still singing, touring, and recording, she currently lives in Ireland .
