It is believed the Hawaiian Islands were discovered by Spanish sailors two centuries before Captain Cook 's first arrival. The Hawaii Islands were not subject to European colonization before Captain Cook due to the native peoples fierceness. The Islands were used for their logistics support in the travel over the same latitude on trips that included La Paz (southern tip of Baja peninsula) through Hawaii and ending in the Philippines . Although sailing routes were regarded as secrets of trade, further reference is left to professional historians consulting the Indies Archive in Spain. EXTERNAL LINKS |
