Harakat-Inqilab-i-Islami was a Mujahid traditionalist group which was fighting against Soviet Forces from 1980 to 1988 . Mohamed Nabi Mohseni was the leader of the group. It operated Southern Afghan Provinces of Kandahar , Helmand, Uruzgan, Ghazni, Paktika and Wardak. It was not strong group like Gulbudeen Hekmatyar's Hezb i Islami or Ahmed Shah Massoud's jamiat i Islami. Most of the Taliban 's members, including spiritual leader of the Taliban Mullah Omar , were from this group. This group is not active and was disolved during 1989 - 1996 . The leader Mohammed Nabi Mohamadi died in Pakistan . Harkat i Inqilaabi influenced and controlled areas. |
