Haplogroup N (y-dna)




This haplogroup appears in Eastern Europe , as well as throughout Russia , northern Scandinavia and Finland .

Haplogroup N is a descendant haplogroup of Haplogroup K , and is believed to have first appeared in Siberia thousands of years ago. It was transported across Eurasia by vast movements of Uralic -speaking peoples.

Haplogroup N is the ancestral group for N1, N2, and N3.
