Many of Helms' techniques and practices have been codified into the Fusebox Lifecycle Process (FLiP), a customer-driven development methodology. He is also the creator of the Fusedoc code documentation standard, widely used in the ColdFusion community. A regular contributor to ColdFusion Developers Journal, Helms has also authored chapters for a number of programming books, and co-hosts the weekly podcast Helms and Peters Out Loud with Jeff Peters .
