EARLY YEARS In 2002 guitarist Halston Luna, vocalist Floyd Bauler and drummer Zach Keener formed to play a Katy Junior High School talent show under the name Nevermind the Name. The band asked Sean Himel, a childhood friend of Keener, to play bass. Like most junior high students at the time all of the band members were into the pop-punk scene. The band decided to play the Blink 182 song "Stay Together For The Kids." After several rehearsals tensions began to flare between Himel and the rest of the band. Himel walked out after Bauler took over on bass. The band performed their first show to great response from the school. The three would perform once again at the same school in 2003 drawing a bigger crowd and earning a reputation as being the only band in the school. MAJOR CHANGES: SUMMMER 2003-WINTER 2004 |
