The Haile Plantation sub-division was a development project started in the early 1990's. In the beginning, the only neighborhoods were Chesnut Hill, Planter's Grove, The Preserve (close to Haile BLVD), Laural Park, Evan's Hollow, and Magnolia Walk. At this early time in Haile Plantation's time, the village was a boat parking lot. Now, 2005, Haile Plantation is still in development, but now contains over 9 miles of road way, 4 main roads (Haile BLVD, 91st ST, 44th AV, and 104th TR). There is also an 18 hole golf course.
