'''Guru Tegh Bahadur Nagar, 1621 - November 11 1675 ) was the ninth of the Ten Gurus of Sikhism and became Guru on March 20 1665 following in the footsteps of his grand-nephew, Guru Har Krishan. Before he died, he nominated his son, Gobind Rai – who later was renamed - Guru Gobind Singh, as the next, and as it turned out, the last Guru of the Sikhs – in human form.

This region is populated by lots of Punjabi and Sikh peoples. There are many Sikh Gurudwara's in this region. Dasmesh Darbar is the largest Gurudwara in this area. G.T.B. Nagar is also said to be a mini Punjab .

Location:
G.T.B. Nagar (also known as '' Sion Koliwada '' or simply ''Koliwada'') is in South Mumbai. G.T.B. Nagar is also a station on Harbour Local Line of mumbai rail. It is situated near the King's Circle and Mahim Junction local railway stations.

Mumbai has a very reputed college started by the Sikh community of this area called Guru Nanak Khalsa College, King's Circle ( Matunga ) affiliated to Mumbai University .

It has one of the best restaurants for Fish Fry. It is not surprising to find Bollywood celebrities frequenting the restaurant late in the night.
