Guardians Of High Charity

THE BEGINNINGS

Robert Ashmore decided to create an Elite-only clan for Halo 2, after hearing that Halo 2 would include Elite player models in multiplayer. This clan would become the largest Elite clan in the Halo community. He created a Covenent data base (nicknamed "Battlenet"), and the clan revolved around Covenant culture. Ranks and names were all based on his knowledge and research of Halo. He poured his love into his creation, made a website, coded from scratch, including profiles for every member that joined, and a forum for communication and announcements. He called it "Warriors of the Prophets", or WoTP ( {Link without Title} ).

The clan became so large, including members from multiple countries, that organization became difficult, so he split it into smaller "battalions". There were 4 battalions. BA (Begotten Angels) included all members living in the United Kingdom, GoHC (Guardians of High Charity) had half of the members in the United States of America or Canada, CotI (Cleansers of the Infidels) had the other half of the North American members, and PC (Prophets Chosen) was the battalion for Halo PC users.

REVOLUTION

Until February 2005, BA, GoHC, CotI, and PC coexisted under the name WotP. Robert Ashmore suddenly stopped posting updates and disappeared from the internet in early January. In Ashmore's absence, the leadership fell onto Ruke 'Ladamee, leader of GoHC, and Izual, leader of CotI.

Ruke 'Ladamee initiated a secession, and GoHC broke off from the main body of WotP. Ruke having taken most of GoHC, Izual was left in charge of WotP. Ruke expressed intention to help keep WotP afloat despite the secession, however many of the members that stayed with WotP felt resentful toward him and all members of GoHC.

Dark, a moderator on WotP's forums, banned all members of GoHC from WotP's forums, after attempts to convince GoHC's members to stay as a part of WotP failed. Izual did not have the power nor the will to undo it, and Ashmore was never on to know that it had occurred. A day later, Dark was banned and all GoHC users had their accounts restored. Izual, feeling paranoid, created a new forum for WotP and moved as much of WotP as he could reach to the new forum. Eventually the forum was abandoned, and many of WotP's remaining members joined GoHC. Izual was not among them.

GOHC AS A CLAN

GoHC is led by Ruke 'Ladamee (Hikaru-119), with Elgr 'Pazaree (Pazicles) and Soha 'Rolamee (DrummDragon) as his immediate subordinates. Each leads a division of the clan called a "platoon". The clan has more than 50 members, and has become one of the most recognized Covenant clans.
