The Guam flying fox (''Pteropus tokudae'') was a tiny microbat from Guam in the Marianas Islands in Micronesia . It was first recorded in 1931 . It often roosted with the larger and much more common Marianas flying fox. The last specimen was a female found roosting at Tarague cliff in March 1967 . A young bat escaped capture. A bat may have been seen in June 1974 . The bat may have died out due to hunting or habitat change.
