Its Barrel was made of Bronze instead of Iron . Bronze is more durable than iron, and so the barrel could be made thinner and lighter than that of an iron gun. It fired a three pound ball and so it is generally referred to as a three-pounder Grasshopper. FAMOUS BATTLES WITH GRASSHOPPER CANNON
