Grant County is a County located in the State of Nebraska . As of 2000 , the population is 747. Its County Seat is Hyannis 6 . GEOGRAPHY According to the U.S. Census Bureau , the county has a total area of 2,029 Km&2 (783 Mi&2 ). 2,010 km&2 (776 mi&2) of it is land and 18 km&2 (7 mi&2) of it is water. DEMOGRAPHICS As of the Census 2 of 2000, there were 747 people, 292 households, and 226 families residing in the county. The Population Density was 0/km&2 (1/mi&2). There were 449 housing units at an average density of 0/km&2 (1/mi&2). The racial makeup of the county was 98.80% White , 0.00% Black or African American , 0.13% Native American , 0.27% Asian , 0.00% Pacific Islander , 0.80% from Other Races , and 0.00% from two or more races. 1.34% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race. There were 292 households out of which 37.00% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 67.50% were Married Couples living together, 6.50% had a female householder with no husband present, and 22.60% were non-families. 22.30% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.90% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
