Information About

Graham Beecroft

Beecroft was born and lives in the Wirral , near Liverpool . He is a former Mobile Disco DJ and supports Liverpool F.C. and Everton F.C.

Graham came to host the breakfast show after Mike Parry’s heart problems. He cemented his place in the hearts of the listeners, after one of the greatest shows in the stations history, where he explained his love of Bull-Fighting.

Beecroft is definitely the most influential and famous radio personality over the past 30 years. He is revered for his wit and ability to pacify Alan Brazil`s constant haranguing.

On the other hand his logic is sometimes questionable, often upsetting football fans with his incompetent assertions regarding the background to football stories, which frequently prove to be wrong.

Beecroft declines to admit whether he actually supports Everton FC or Liverpool FC and fluctuates between the two depending on who is currently the most successful. He also calims to support the other Merseyside clubs Tranmere Rovers , Vauxhall Motors FC and Marine FC . Withstanding this somewhat lilly livered nature - Beeky , as he is affectionately known, is a mainstay on the new `Alan Brazil Breakfast Show` as of Jan 2006. As a mobile dicso DJ during the 1960s in Merseyside, he is actually credited with discovering both the Beatles and Ken Dodd. ( slight exaggeration )

It is a little known fact that Graham also provided the voice for the legendary obnoxious and annoying puppet 'Zippy' in 70s kids tv show 'Rainbow'.

Graham is a prominent Liberal Democrat who, despite recent problems in the party, intends to secure a safe seat at some point in the future.

Graham has one of the most annoying catchphrases on radio, "absolutely no doubt about that". Additionally, its a little known fact that Graham completed the voice over for the late Kenneth Williams in the DVD edition of "Carry on Up the Khyber", after having been recognised as having the perfect camp diction to imitate Williams's well-known "Mmmm Matron!" phrase.

As of the most recent Sports Breakfast with replacement co host Mike Parry, Beecroft displayed his amazing sense of humour. In an Alan Partridge - esque performance , he cracked a joke about sticking an object up ` Ur - anus` ( the planet of course ) - and then cackled as he explained this seminal moment of radio to a bewildered Parry.
Beecroft is perhaps the most regular guest on Hawksbee and Jacobs `Clips of the Week` and is sure to be a mainstay for many years to come.
