Ding De-sun was Zhang's other loyal servant, and the trio were formerly imperial captains of the town of Dongchang before being captured by Song Jiang and persuaded to join the Liangshan cause of overthrowing the corrupt government and restoring justice on Heaven's behalf. Gong was adept in twin sabres and the trident, and together with Ding, formed part of the 72 Earthly Fiends in the Liangshan setup. |
