The Sand is a coarse, black and grey rock. Driftwood and Kelp commonly wash up on the beach. The beach is a common resting ground for Harbor Seal s and Sea Lion s. Due to a steep slope into the water that leads to an underwater ditch parallel to the waterline, Rip Tide s are common. The final scene of The Goonies was filmed at Goat Rock Beach. |
