Riders are placed into outward facing seats arranged into a circle that spins counterclockwise at 8 RPM (rotations per minute). The ring of seats is attached to the end of a pendulum arm that sways back and forth in a 240° arc. Examples of installed Giant Frisbees includes ''Delirium'' ( Paramount's Kings Island . Cincinnati, Ohio ), ''Sledgehammer'' ( Bobbejaanland . Lichtaart, Belgium ), '' The Claw '' ( Dreamworld . Gold Coast, Australia ) and ''maXair'' ( Cedar Point . Sandusky, Ohio ). MaXair was completed at Cedar Point in 2005. ''Delerium'' at ( Paramount's Kings Island ) spent most of the 2005 season unoperable due to a misfunctioning part. PKI had to re-order the part which took all season. |
