Gelato is Hardware -accelerated Rendering Software created by Graphics Card manufacturer NVIDIA for use with its Quadro FX GPU . It was designed to produce Film -quality images. Gelato uses a Shading Language very similar to the RenderMan shading language. Gelato was originally released in April 2004 .
