Information About

Gaudie

Gaudie is the student newspaper of the University of Aberdeen, Scotland.
Since its establishment in 1934, Gaudie has been a major part of university life for many students.

Gaudie aims to cover every aspect of student life; from incisive reporting of local, national and international news to coverage of society events and sporting successes. We also provide weekly reviews of films, CDs, gigs and anything else that catches our eye to keep your cultural radar on track.

Over the past year, the paper's news desk has covered stories ranging from a record investment in the University's Research Institute of Irish and Scottish Studies to March's AUT strikes, as well as reporting AU rector Clarissa Dickson Wright's bankruptcy, the controversial AUSA elections in May and the closure of the award-winning Gallowgate Union.
