Gangsterhood is a free online text based game. The game models a prohibition era gangster economy, with various gangs, or Borgatas vying for for respect and dominance in the game world. Respect is gained through violent acts and economic growth. The player can choose to build anything from casinos to apartment buildings to gain income, of course, owning breweries and selling liquor is also an option. Stealing other players cash or liquor also supplements and aids economic growth. The player specializes their game-play through the choosing of a consigliere, which allows them a certain, unique skill set and they build their economy accordingly. The player also needs to retain and train gangsters to defend their economy and to attack and destroy their enemies or their enemies economies within the game world. Communication and the establishing of alliances are essential components to success in Gangsterhood. The unique aspect or Gangsterhood is it's update system, Updates occur every 6 hours on a staggered schedule throughout the various states, cities and hoods within the game world.
