Gamma Arae (γ Ara / γ Arae) is a Binary Star in the Constellation Ara . It is approximately 1140 Light Years from Earth .

The primary component, γ Arae A, is a blue-white B-type Supergiant with an Apparent Magnitude of +3.5. It's companion '''γ Arae B''', is a white A-type Main Sequence Dwarf with an apparent mangitude of 10.5. The two stars are separated by 17.9 Arcsecond s on the sky and their combined apparent brightness is +3.31.
