Game Freak




The company was founded on April 26 , 1989 by Satoshi Tajiri (田尻 智 ''Tajiri Satoshi'', born August 28 , 1965 ). In honor of the founder, the lead character in the Japanese version of the Pokémon TV series was named Satoshi.

Their most popular RPG series, Pokémon, is published by Nintendo in Japan, North America and Europe. Pokémon is formally known as Pocket Monsters (ポケットモンスター ''Poketto Monsutaa'') in Japan, and the abbreviation "ポケモン"(''Pokemon'') is derived from the Japanese spelling.

Game Freak has recently released " Drill Dozer ", an all new game for Game Boy Advance, and is currently working on the Diamond And Pearl versions of Pokémon for the Nintendo DS .
