Many people think that the term funender is used in a negative way, but it is just the opposite. The person who refers to himself as Funender, or "FuNEnD3R" has always been active in all types of sports and other activities that compete with or against others for fun.
There were times in his life when he was the unknown guy, and there was always a "champion" or person who is known for being the best, would usually be cocky, and make fun of other people because they weren't as good as him. Everyone would look up to the champion since they all know that he is the best, and figured no one can beat him. Funender didn't appreciate the disrespectful comments and the attitude of such a person, so that only motivated him to try his best to win. So when it came Funender's turn to compete, his opponent would be laughing and trying to make fun at first, but after Funender would win the cocky competitor would no longer be laughing or having any fun.
So to himself Funender would say "I put an end to their showing off and making fun of other people, I am funender"
When he created that name he knew then that something special was going to come out of it a long time ago. This was way before he even thought about creating a website.
So the name "funender" means to be the underdog, the person who wants to do his best to be a winner, when no one expects it and tries to make fun of you because you are unknown and not recognized for your talent. So to be a funender is to be a person who is doing his best to make it out on top.
