Fruitmince




Some recipes for fruitmince are matured to merge their flavours, but the same result can be achieved by cooking the mixture over a low heat.

Here is a basic cooked fruitmince recipe.

Method

#Peel and finely chop the apples.
#Chop the raisins.
#Mix all ingredients together in a saucepan and cook on low heat until the fruit is plump and the apples are translucent.
#Store in the fridge for up to a week, or use immediately.

If desired, a small amount of brandy or rum can be added to the mixture before or after cooking.
