FRENCH AND INDIAN WAR PROCLAMATION

The French and Indian war ended in 1763, won bye the colonists of the 13 colonies.The war was also known as "The Seven Year War". The colonists cried in joy when they remembered that they had all of the Great Western Frontier open to them, and away form the greedy hands of the British. The 1773 proclamation did much to soften the celebration. In effect, the proclamation closed off the entire frontier to the colonies.The King ment for the proclamation to calm the Indians, for they feared the colonists would drive them out of their land as they expanded out tward the far west. The proclamation also founded four new colonies. Three of which- are also astablished on the contenent proper.
