Fred Freiberger (', ' The Beta Cloud ' and ' Space Warp ' are regarded by Fans as classics. He was also the executive producer of the second (And final) season of Buck Rogers . Freiberger explained his success with Space: 1999 having much to do with having worked three years for and Scooby-Doo in order to attract Saturday Morning Viewers . The strategy proved successful, although not as successful as the producers had hoped. The series was not renewed. Freiberger then moved on to produce the final season of The Six Million Dollar Man . Due to how he is often associated with the final season of popular series, there has been some speculation as to whether he was (by own motivation or by request or simply by consistently bad luck) deliberatly redesigning shows in ways that would have them automatically killed off. For this he is infamously known as "The Series Killer." |
