An advertisement in ''The Magus'' (Vol. 2, p. 140) refers to an otherwise unknown school founded by Barrett. According to the advertisement, Barrett "gives private instructions and lectures" on the subject matter of the book, in a school to be limited to twelve students, and invites interested parties to call on him at designated hours.
