A fountain square is a Park or Plaza in a city that features a fountain. A fountain square is similar to a Town Square but is usually smaller and not situated in front of the Town Hall or county Courthouse . It may stand alone or as part of a larger public park. In the United States , there are numerous fountain squares, many of which are actually called "Fountain Square," including those in Cincinnati, Ohio (see that article for Details ); Indianapolis, Indiana ; Evanston, Illinois ; Bloomington, Indiana ; and Bowling Green, Kentucky .
