In recent years, the fort has been home to several re-enactments. It also serves as the perfect location for family get-togethers and any type of meeting. At one time, it was planned to be turned into an amusment park of some sort. However, this never came to be. For a while it had several small shops that have now been bought out and moved to different locations. One resturant was moved into Harrisonburg opposite to the elementary shool for a brief time before being bought out. |
