Forksville is a borough located in Sullivan County, Pennsylvania . As of the 2000 census, the borough had a total population of 147. It is the home of the Forksville Folk Festival and near Worlds End State Park. GEOGRAPHY Forksville is located at 41°29'28" North, 76°36'13" West (41.490979, -76.603555). According to the United States Census Bureau , the borough has a total area of 3.9 Km&2 (1.5 Mi&2 ). 3.9 km&2 (1.5 mi&2) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water. DEMOGRAPHICS As of the Census of 2000, there were 147 people, 67 households, and 42 families residing in the borough. The Population Density was 37.6/km&2 (97.6/mi&2). There were 94 housing units at an average density of 24.0/km&2 (62.4/mi&2). The racial makeup of the borough was 95.24% White , 0.00% African American , 4.76% Native American , 0.00% Asian , 0.00% Pacific Islander , 0.00% from Other Races , and 0.00% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race. There were 67 households out of which 22.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.2% were Married Couples living together, 6.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 37.3% were non-families. 29.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 13.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.19 and the average family size was 2.74. In the borough the population was spread out with 17.7% under the age of 18, 3.4% from 18 to 24, 30.6% from 25 to 44, 30.6% from 45 to 64, and 17.7% who were 65 years of age or older.
