Forks Township is a township in Sullivan County, Pennsylvania , USA . As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 407. GEOGRAPHY According to the United States Census Bureau , the township has a total area of 113.7 Km&2 (43.9 Mi&2 ). 113.6 km&2 (43.9 mi&2) of it is land and 0.1 km&2 (0.04 mi&2) of it is water. The total area is 0.05% water. DEMOGRAPHICS As of the Census 2 of 2000, there were 407 people, 171 households, and 122 families residing in the township. The Population Density was 3.6/km&2 (9.3/mi&2). There were 401 housing units at an average density of 3.5/km&2 (9.1/mi&2). The racial makeup of the township was 99.51% White , 0.00% African American , 0.00% Native American , 0.25% Asian , 0.00% Pacific Islander , 0.00% from Other Races , and 0.25% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race. There were 171 households out of which 24.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 58.5% were Married Couples living together, 7.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 28.1% were non-families. 22.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 11.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.38 and the average family size was 2.72. In the township the population was spread out with 19.9% under the age of 18, 6.1% from 18 to 24, 22.9% from 25 to 44, 28.5% from 45 to 64, and 22.6% who were 65 years of age or older.
