GEOGRAPHY Ford Cliff is located at 40°45'36" North, 79°32'11" West (40.759936, -79.536379). According to the United States Census Bureau , the borough has a total area of 0.2 Km&2 (0.1 Mi&2 ). 0.2 km&2 (0.1 mi&2) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water. DEMOGRAPHICS As of the Census of 2000, there were 412 people, 181 households, and 129 families residing in the borough. The Population Density was 2,272.5/km&2 (5,967.3/mi&2). There were 184 housing units at an average density of 1,014.9/km&2 (2,665.0/mi&2). The racial makeup of the borough was 99.76% White , 0.24% African American , 0.00% Native American , 0.00% Asian , 0.00% Pacific Islander , 0.00% from Other Races , and 0.00% from two or more races. 0.73% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race. There were 181 households out of which 23.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 54.7% were Married Couples living together, 11.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 28.7% were non-families. 27.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 17.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.28 and the average family size was 2.74. In the borough the population was spread out with 19.4% under the age of 18, 7.3% from 18 to 24, 28.2% from 25 to 44, 22.6% from 45 to 64, and 22.6% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 43 years. For every 100 females there were 83.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 81.4 males. The median income for a household in the borough was $31,250, and the median income for a family was $34,375. Males had a median income of $31,250 versus $22,500 for females.
