Over the years diving in football has been spotted increasingly. Only now, with slow motion replays have we been able to see the "fowled" players falling down when they haven't even been touched. Referees can now hand out yellow cards if they see a player diving but this is a very rare occasion. Many people are fed up with diving and campaigns have been launched to combat this. Many serial divers have been targeted by the press. The most prolific diver is probably Antonio Reyes, an Arsenal player. Many people have described his diving as if "He had been shot in the back of his head twice". With more people on the lookaout for diving the football players will think twice about diving. Everyone thinks that diving is a terrible occurance int he game, and many teams have lost a game unfairly because of it. |
