HISTORY The first booker for FCW was Clarence P. Luttrell. He booked until 1971, when Eddie Graham took over the promotion. Under Graham, the promotion thrived with stars such as Dusty Rhodes , Barry Windham , Mike Rotunda , Mike Graham (Eddie's son) and Kevin Sullivan , who had a cult gimmick ( The Army Of Darkness ) that got tremendous heat from the fans. When Eddie Graham committed suicide in early 1985, responsibility for booking went to Hiro Matsuda and Duke Keomuka . The promotion started losing money and closed in 1989. Most of the stars went to wrestle in Jim Crockett Promotions at that point. FCW promoted its televised wrestling events at the famed Hollywood Sportatorium near Pembroke Pines, FL. On March 2 , 2006 , it was announced that the Florida Championship Wrestling library was purchased by WWE for the upcoming DVD on Dusty Rhodes . OFFSHOOTS Howard Brody started NWA Florida in 1990 and he booked for it until 2002. In 2003, Kevin Rhodes started Championship Wrestling from Florida as a member of the NWA. He occasionally has some legends of the 1980's wrestling for his promotion. ROSTER ''See:'' Florida Championship Wrestling Roster (current) FORMER FCW & CWF STARS TITLES
