United Kingdom radio station in Bournemouth, Dorset. Launched June 26th 1999 as The NRG by founding Directors James Bromley and David Harber. The NRG (Nerve Radio Group) was borne out of the Bournemouth student station Nerve FM. The station changed name to "The Fire" on bonfire night November 2000 and attained its highest RAJAR reach of 22% with David and Emily at Breakfast, Max Hailey, Lloydie and Dan Lodge on the daily presention team.
The station, independently owned with TLRC (The Local Radio Company) as major shareholder was sold by its original founders in October 2001 to Radio Investments Limited.
