"Fire" was later covered by many artists, ranging from the Red Hot Chili Peppers to the Kronos Quartet . Despite its Sexual overtones, the song had an innocuous origin, stemming from a cold night in which Hendrix stopped by a house and asked the owner if he could warm up by the fire ("Electric Gypsy"). |
