The Melias chain of small supermarkets or what are called today convenience stores was part of the Fine Fare group.

Fine Fare's corporate headquarters were in Welwyn Garden City .

In the mid- and Carrefour hypermarket chains. Following this, all Dee's newly-acquired stores were rebranded as ''Gateway'' or closed, and the Fine Fare name disappeared. {Link without Title} Some of the larger Fine Fare stores became for a while Food Giant Discount Stores.

During the 1980s Fine Fare was the sponsor of the Scottish Football League .
