The mission statement is "to span the full spectrum of Filmmaking ". Film Academy has a pool of freelance filmmakers with experience in film, TV, commercial and music videos. The Film Academy team are the founders of the East End Film Society (E.E.F.S), a network for filmmakers in the East End Of London . The E.E.F.S now has over 400 members and has become a prestigious filmmakers club in the local community. Currently in development is an accredited film training school for underprivileged young people in the London Boroughs of Hackney , Newham and Tower Hamlets . This will facilitate an outlet to nurture new talent to grow and gain recognition in the film and media sectors. The Film Academy website is developing into a film resource, with the goal of providing support, information and networking opportunities on the independent film scene.
