Featherstone Rovers are a professional Rugby League team, based in Featherstone , West Yorkshire in England . To many people they are known as ''Fev''. Featherstone is a small ex-mining town with a population of around 16,000 and for many years Fev have graced the top levels of the game in a manner that belies their smalltown background. They have won the Challenge Cup 3 times, in 1967, 1973 and 1983; and in 1977 won the Championship .

Traditionally their home ground has been known as ''Post Office Road'', though following redevelopent it is now officially called the ''Lionheart Stadium'', as a result of sponsorship from UK Coal .

In 2005 they were relegated to National League Two .

Their local rivals are the Castleford Tigers , whom they had not played since the early 1990's until the 2005 season in which Castleford were relegated to the National League One, The local rivalry was resparked immediately, however with Castleford's subsequent re-promotion and Featherstone's relegation, it is likely to be many more years before the two teams meet again. The last time they played was the boxing day friendly on 26th December, 2005.
