''Fear No Evil'' was based on a short story by Guy Endore , an author best known for his novel The Werewolf of Paris. The plot focuses on a young man who dies suddenly after purchasing an antique mirror. The man's widow visits Sorrell with strange dreams in which husband's image visits her in the mirror. The psychologist investigates and learns that a sinister cult and ancient magic are involved. ''Ritual of Evil'' has Sorrell treating a young heiress whose parents have died under mysterious circumstances. His investigation uncovers another cult, led by a powerful witch. Things grow even more complicated as Sorrell and the villainess fall in love. The movies were well-written with atmospheric filming and music. The scripts blended traditional mystery and occult elements well, creating a genuine tension. The characters tended to be offbeat and complex. Despite the overall quality of the films, the proposed television series was never produced. |
