The terms Faction One and '''Faction Two''' refer to the distinction made between members of certain alleged world power alliance groups. THE NEW WORLD ORDER (NWO) During his term of office, U.S. President George Herbert Walker Bush used the term " New World Order " in a number of his speeches. Certain conspiracy-minded political writers and critics seized upon these statements, arguing that by proclaiming such a new world order Bush was bringing previously unvoiced Globalist policies one step nearer to public awareness. According to many who hold this view, Globalism is an effort on behalf of a cabal of "insiders" -- secret societies ( Freemasons , Skull And Bones , The Bilderberg Group , et al), powerful Multinational Corporations , and others -- to coerce civil governments into adopting policies that promote international unity over narrow national interests. NWO theorists interpret current events as evidence that today's governments are largely or wholly dominated by such pressures to such an extent that the viability of democracy has been compromised on a global scale. Their contention is that various international treaties, organizations, and the like (e.g. the European Union , UN , FTAA , etc.) are being created by these insiders with the intention of bringing about some form of world government -- a New World Order -- under their control. Some NWO theorists posit the existence of two distict factions within the overall NWO conspiracy: 1. Faction One, which seeks the establishment of a unipolar NWO; and 2. Faction Two, which envisions an NWO dominated by a multipolar power structure. However, NWO conspiracy theorists are far from unanimous on the purpose, aims, and memberships of the two factions, as well as upon the existence of the factions themselves. |
